InuYasha tells the tale of a half-demon hero travelling through ancient Japan with assorted sidekicks including a high school student from the future, other demons, and a sex-crazed monk. Originally a manga series, the anime was first released in 2000 and went on to become one of the most popular series of all time, with fans around the world.
Just in time for the airing of season two in the fall Kotobukiya is bringing back the InuYasha Ani*Statues that have been long sold out! First up is the dynamic duo of KAGOME AND SHIPPO. When Japanese high school student Kagome set off to find her lost cat, little did she realize she was embarking on the journey of a lifetime. Sucked through a portal, the girl found herself 500 years in the past and surrounded by demons and magic. Herself a reincarnation of a powerful warrior, Kagome travels with the half-demon InuYasha and their other companions to collect the shards of a magical relic. Along with them on their travels is Shippo, a tiny shapeshifting fox-demon who delights in mischievous pranks.
Masterfully sculpted by Tsukuru Shirahige, the pair of Kagome and Shippo stands ready to do battle. The girl wears her white and green high school uniform while wielding a bow and arrows. Meanwhile, little Shippo hides behind Kagome’s leg. The two stand on a unique rocky terrain base, and Kagome is 7 ½ inches tall (in 1/8th scale with the other InuYasha Ani*Statues).
